(In English)
A Euro-Med Vision for Youth, Culture, and Employability: Scaena Mediterranea, an Inter-Institutional Seminar on Nov.12, 2020 (13:00-15:00 GMT +1).
Streamed on Mediterranean Perspectives Facebook Page on November 12, 2020 (13:00 - 15:00, GMT +1) is planned an Inter-Institutional Seminar held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI).
Mediterranean Perspectives (Prospettive Mediterranee) has planned for November 12, 2020, at the Ministry of the Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) an inter-institutional seminar “A Euro-Med Vision for Youth, Culture, and Employability – Scaena Mediterranea”, under the patronage of the Italian Network for the Euro-Mediterranean Dialogue RIDE-APS (Anna Lindh Foundation’s Head of Network in Italy) in cooperation with Università della Svizzera Italiana and The Vittorio Dan Segre Foundation, with the generous support of The United Nations’ Alliance of Civilizations (UNAoC).
The planned seminar follows a number of previous meetings, including the event held on August 1, 2020, at the Volterra Theatre titled “Scaena Mediterranea - Ancient Theaters for our Mediterranean future”, to enhance the Greek-Roman historical and archaeological heritage, a crucial resource for Euro-Mediterranean dialogue. In light of the consequences of the pandemic on employability at all ages, but especially on the younger generation, “Scaena Mediterranea” supports the development of cultural enterprises with stable employment results in the various territories concerned, based on knowledge of the archaeological sites of theaters and Greek or Roman amphitheaters, as well as on the awareness by local communities of the material and immaterial value they represent for their territory, and on the entrepreneurial capacity of the local communities.
